Parker Clay is thrilled to introduce our Kids Summer Camp in Ethiopia, a month-long program that seamlessly combines fun, education, and personal development for the children of our employees. This initiative was designed not only to help our team members maintain focus at work but also to provide their kids with a stimulating and memorable summer experience.
Our camp aims to help employees better focus on work by offering a structured, engaging environment for their children during their summer breaks. By balancing learning with enjoyable activities, we support the kids' academic progress while ensuring they have an enriching summer. Additionally, the camp fosters a strong spirit of belongingness, reinforcing the bond among our employees and their families.
The program was thoughtfully curated to include a range of educational and recreational activities. Children will benefit from classes in Ethics, English, Amharic Language, and Mathematics, alongside sessions that develop computer skills, choreography, and other talents. To complement their learning, the camp features sports, team games, and talent shows, providing ample opportunities for physical activity and self-expression. Entertainment and relaxation are also integral parts of the schedule, with dedicated movie times and downtime to ensure a balanced experience.
The first week of camp begins with a warm welcome and an introduction to the Parker Clay factory, giving kids an insight into their parents’ work. Following this, they engage in English and math classes, arts and crafts, and cooking classes, while also participating in team sports and enjoying movie time.
In the second week, the focus shifts to creativity with painting, dancing, and bag designing. Motivational and ethics classes are interspersed with fun activities like egg-and-spoon races and dancing sessions, ensuring a blend of learning and enjoyment.
The third week continues with a mix of English, math, and skill training classes, complemented by sessions on hygiene awareness and movie times. Highlights include a talent show and outdoor activities, providing a variety of experiences.
The final week features first aid training, a cooking competition, and an awards ceremony, culminating in a celebratory closing party. This week is designed to cap off the summer with a sense of achievement and community spirit.
