LIFESTYLE // Santa Barbara : A City Guide

LIFESTYLE // Santa Barbara : A City Guide

The Parker Clay headquarters and flagship store are based in sunny Santa Barbara, California. We’ve created a collection of all our favorite places in our hometown - from beaches, to wine tasting, to our favorite taco spots - we know you’ll love Santa Barbara and all that our sweet coastal city has to offer.

PARKER CLAY // Our flagship store is located in the iconic pink building across the street from the Santa Barbara Courthouse. Swing by and say hello to our friendly staff and grab a kombucha while you check out your favorite Parker Clay pieces.

HENDRY’S BEACH // Hendry’s is the perfect place to take your pup! Grab a cocktail during happy hour at The Boathouse and watch a gorgeous Santa Barbara sunset.

THE MISSION // The Mission is one of the best-known tourist spots in Santa Barbara. With the beautiful bell towers and soft pink hues, the Mission is a lovely spot to wander or have a picnic in the rose garden.

LOTUSLAND // This one is for all the plant lovers out there! Filled with plants from all over the world, take your time and enjoy all the scenery that Lotusland offers. Warning, you might feel the need to swing by a nursery afterwards to start your own garden.

INSPIRATION POINT // In between laying by the beach and feasting, hitting the trail is vital. Even if you’re not an avid hiker, Inspiration Point is rated an easy and popular trail that takes you to the top of the Santa Barbara mountains for epic views of the sea.

DEEP SEA WINERY // It’s no secret that Santa Barbara is known for our wines. Deep Sea Winery is located on Stearns Wharf, and if you’re visiting during summer, there is nothing sweeter than sipping on their rosé while watching the boats bob in the water. It’s just about as magical as it can get.

MUNICIPAL WINES // In the Funk Zone, Municipal Wines creates wines that focus on traditional flavors and draws off of their adventures to bring their wines to life. Most weekends, they host a pop-up food vendor - from tacos to oysters, check out their social media for updates.

THE PUBLIC MARKET: CORAZON TACOS & EMPTY BOWL // There are a few gems inside The Public Market - If you are traveling with a group, The Public Market is ideal because everyone can grab something different from pizza to tacos! Check out Corazon Tacos and try the Norteño taco - with grilled skirt steak and served with a homemade tortilla, it’s one of the best tacos in Santa Barbara. Our Operations Coordinator, Selam, would be seriously bummed if we didn’t mention Empty Bowl! Her go-to is the Pad Thai with extra spicy sauce!

SAVOY CAFE & DELI // Try Savoy for lunch! The salad bar is killer. Plus they offer a fantastic array of gluten-free and vegan dessert options. Grab a salad to go and walk over to the Sunken Gardens - right across the street from Parker Clay then eat outside to soak in the ocean breeze.

CAFE ANA // Julian Sanders and Katherine Guzman Sanders own Cafe Ana, with a modern flair and a great brunch on the weekends. Plus, they are right down the street from the Parker Clay shop! Try their prosciutto bites!

LOQUITA // With fun and fiery flare, Loquita offers tapas and ordering the churros are a MUST as they come with three different dipping sauces! Choose your favorite - we are obsessed with the dulce de leche.

DUNE /If you are a coffee guru and wandering into coffee shops is your idea of a perfect vacation - it’s a must that you check out Dune Coffee! With three different locations in the Santa Barbara area, this is a staple in the central coast coffee scene. We partnered with Dune to roast an Ethiopian blend that we sell in our shop as well as use in our offices to keep us caffeinated!

CAJE COFFEE // Caje Coffee has been a permanent location in Isle Vista for years, but they recently opened up a new location on Haley Street. They specialize in making coffee appear more like a cocktail - try their matcha, it's fantastic! In the evenings Caje transforms into a speak-easy vibe bar.

SHAKER MILL + MODERN TIMES + CUBANEO // The BEST new kid on the block - Shaker Mill, Modern Times and Cubaneo have joined forces for a fun collective on State Street. It’s a one-stop for the whole group type of situation. From incredible sandwiches at Cubaneo that goes beyond typical bar food to a tropical cocktail menu at Shaker Mill - then in the back of the house is the killer brew house Modern Times with a dog-friendly patio for your best friend to join too. See if you can spot any pups wearing our Canine Collection!

HOOK & PRESS // Who doesn’t love donuts - Hook and Press is a fantastic stop for that midday snack. They even have a donut inspired by one of Santa Barbara’s favorite cocktails - The Paloma.

RORI’S ARTISANAL CREAMERY // Rori’s specializes in funky flavors with made to order waffle cones that will satisfy your sweet tooth. No matter if you’re staying in Santa Barbara, Montecito, or Carpinteria, Rori's has locations in all three!

BREE’OSH BAKERY // Owned by french couple Nelly and Pierre, Bree’ osh specializes in French pastries. Sit on their patio and enjoy their Morning bun, which is a local favorite. Bree’ Osh is on Coast Village Road in Montecito a quaint town - so take some time to explore the other shops on Coast Village.
